SUFC:First tell us a little about yourself.
Philip Hoban:I love martial arts, and i love taking part in them. As a child bruce lee and my dad were my heros. I always wanted to be like bruce lee and always wanted to be like my dad.Ive got two children and one on the way due in june which i am so looking forward to. I love being a dad and hope one day my sons follow in my footsteps. I enjoy films and my wife to be and the thought of one day being a champion of the world which i am now pursuing. I do believe will achieve my dream.
SUFC:What got you into the sport of Mixed Martial Arts?
Philip Hoban:Bruce lee and one day i was just sat watching telly and it came on and i instantly knew i could do cage fighting as i have fought all my life to survive.
SUFC:Tell us about your Martial Arts background.
Philip Hoban:Im brazilian jujitsu, ive also trained in thai boxing, kick boxing, and valetudo i think thats how its spelt. And lots of street fighting not to my choice of course, but when trouble comes to me i have to deal with it.
SUFC:What is the most challenging part of the sport for you?
Philip Hoban:Preparing for a fight, dieting, and not spending as much time with my girlfriend as i would like to.
SUFC:What is your current record?
Philip Hoban:Semi-pro 2 wins 1 loss (No striking to the head)

Philip Hoban:28th february 2009
SUFC:What are your goals as far as MMA go?
Philip Hoban:To be a world champion
SUFC:Is there anyone who you would like to fight if you could?
Philip Hoban:Tito ortiz, because he is my idol, he is one of the best fighters and to fight someone like him would be amazing.
SUFC:How is MMA doing over there?
Philip Hoban:Its becoming a really big sport.And its just getting bigger.
SUFC:Do you think it will gain the popularity that is has in the United States or Japan?
Philip Hoban:I do hope so but america always does things bigger, but one day i hope its just as big as America as i truely love the sport.
